Hi, my name is Shanti. I’m a qualified barrister and solicitor and the founder of Legal Zebra.

I’m happy to answer your questions, whether you want help with choosing or drafting your legal template.

For more complex matters or if you need legal documents customised for your requirements, I will let you know the charges in advance.

Because I have drafted the legal templates on this site myself, I can often solve client’s issues quickly and cost effectively.

My personal approach

I am dedicated to providing clients with legal advice based on the principles of value, integrity and clarity.

When I’m not wrangling Zebra’s or writing contracts, I'm often practising yoga.

With a passion for travel, my clients are accustomed to receiving legal advice online from remote parts of the world.

My professional background

I have over 20 years experience drafting and enforcing legal documents and understand the practical context in which they are applied.

In addition to working as an online lawyer with Legal Zebra, I practice with Rubens Legal, a boutique commercial law firm based in Melbourne, Australia.

I started my own practice in 2003 and since then I’ve serviced businesses both big and small from Ikea to local start-up enterprises.

Previously, I practised with top tier law firms including DLA Piper and Maddocks and acted as in-house counsel for Dubai’s national airline Emirates and British global travel company Thomas Cook, working out of Dubai, Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia.

• Admitted to the Supreme Court of Victoria as a Barrister & Solicitor in 1997
• Bachelor of Laws (Honours) & Commerce, University of Melbourne
• Member of the Law Institute of Victoria.
